We can hardly conceal our excitement about the farm, the landscape and the nature experiences that await you here in the very heart of \u00d6sterlen.<\/p>

If you wish, park the car for your whole stay. We will happily guide you to beautiful hiking or cycling routes and suggest worthwhile excursions. Should you want a picnic, we will pack a basket with delicious local bites and refreshing drinks.<\/p>

In spring the apple trees and rapeseed fields burst into blossom. Summer brings green paddocks where horses graze beside the farm. Autumn paints the woods in deep yellow, orange, red and brown. Winter on \u00d6sterlen spans everything from snowstorms to gentle Scanian mist. Whatever the weather, the surroundings remain captivating.<\/p>

All\u00e9\u2019s Setting \u2013 The Estate<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our hotel and restaurant sit in an extended 19th-century farmstead on the ridge that forms Stenshuvud National Park. After passing Kivik, turn onto Stenshuvudsv\u00e4gen, lined by apple orchards, open fields and sweeping views. At the crest, branch off the avenue to our farm, sheltered in a small valley.<\/p>\n

A traditional Scanian farmstead creates its own sense of place. On the horizon the church tower of S\u00f6dra Mellby is just visible. Meadows surround the courtyard. Roe deer sometimes wander the woodland edge below, and in early summer you can hear the tree frogs sing. Our landscaped garden is yours to enjoy.<\/p>\n

In 2022 we received the Simrishamn Architecture Prize with the jury\u2019s words:

\n\nThe countryside near Kivik is a rare environment, largely untouched by Sweden\u2019s industrial era. Sandy beaches line the coast, small streams reach the sea, and hills and sand ridges create shifting vistas often ending in blue water. Stenshuvud juts into the Baltic and stands as the area\u2019s natural landmark. Inland the landscape is mainly farmland, but pockets of deciduous and coniferous forest add variety.\n\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\nA walk here is a journey through time: Stone-Age remains, medieval churches, the farming heritage and the present day.
